Three looks for a Valentine’s Day wedding
Thinking of tying the knot on 14th February? You’re not alone- although weddings now take place all year round, Valentine’s Day remains in the top ten most popular dates for getting married. In fact in the Philippines, thousands of couples get married during mass weddings on Valentine’s Day! Closer to home however, the most romantic holiday of the year remains a popular choice both for proposals and weddings alike. So why is that? Most likely the connotations of love and romance work perfectly for a wedding, but not just that- imagine having your anniversary on Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect date to celebrate your love and let’s face it, neither of you would ever forget!
The classic themes we think of when it comes to Valentine’s Day also provide the perfect basis for a beautiful, elegant wedding. It doesn’t have to be all hearts and flowers (although we do love a bit of traditional romance!), but why not take your inspiration from the classic Valentine’s themes and colours? Here are three looks we’re loving for a Valentine’s Day wedding…
TIMELESSLY TWENTIES
We’re obsessed with this first look, which would work equally well for a special occasion as it would for a bridal look. Combine a pair of our blush satin Bronte heels with vintage inspired gold leather t-bars with matching Sandi clutch bag in soft blush satin with pretty gold binding. Complete the look with a boho style hairvine such as PBH7059- a stunning collection of ceramic ivory flowers and pearls, all entwined with delicate gold wire.
SPARKLING ROMANCE
Our second look is modern but with a touch of Disney princess and let’s face it- who doesn’t want to feel a little bit like a princess on the big day (whether or not they admit it!)? Our Dolly heels are the perfect combination of timeless style with a modern twist, sitting on a wearable and stylish mid block heel. Emphasise the beautiful beading on the t-bar with matching Dee clutch bag and if your dress will suit it, complete this sparkling trio with our stunning bridal belt PBB1020.
ELEGANTLY MINIMAL
Sometimes less is most definitely more and that’s certainly the case with our third and final look for a Valentine’s Day wedding. This look works particularly well if your dress is embellished or there’s a lot going on, as the understated shoe and bag combination will really let that sing. Pair our chic Daniella points in blush satin with matching Simone clutch, and finish with a pretty, structured haircomb such as PBH7067. Stunning.
